Miley's new years eve party

After Miley's new years eve party in 2021 was a great succes she continued with the well tried recipe. Lots of stars and awsome vocals. She also confirmed on 2022's last night new single titled as Flower.

She was joined this time by country music and rock&roll legend Dolly Parton, with whom she also performed some songs. Like her hit Wrecking ball.

And Dolly Parton wasn't the only one who joined Miley's new years party, Latto hit the stage and performed her hit.

Sia also performed with Miley they did a cover of Paris Hilton's Stars are blind, and the heiress herself made a surprise performance.

I love Paris and how much she grew in the past decade, but i got to tell ya, Sia and Miley actually sang the song she just mimed. Cyrus also performed her hit single Midnight sky, she was joined by Fletcher with whom she blew up the stage.

The nights most iconic performance was Miley with Dolly singing Jolene.
The NBC special was produced by SNL's own Lorne Michaels.

A glorious comeback - Nelly Furtado

Nelly Furtado just posted a bunch of photos of herself performing on new years eve in Australia with the caption: "Last night I played my first show in five years . Happy New Year ! The stage felt like  home". And in another one she stated: im back! This is def music to our ears, and in the comment section most fans texted their hoping for new music.

Yes, you read that right, she did not perfromed since 5 years but a lot have happened with her. Last night she was headliner of Beyond the Valley festival in Barunah Plains near Melbourne.

According to several aussie sources Nelly's comeback was stunning, and worth the wait.

She looked fabulous in a golden jumpsuit which fitted in the style of the festival.

Last summer she already performed live, Nelly appeared on stage alongside with Drake. In 2021 collaborated with German duo Quarterhead on a remix of her song All Good Things which is a depp house gem since the early 2010's. And the last time she released a record was the 20th anniversary of her debut album Whoa Nelly in 2020, when she dropped expanded edition.

In my opinion her last major single drop was Big hoops back in 2012. lets check this out for nostalgia!

Snoop Dogg is cookin' something

In the past weeks i discovered some pretty fresh music from Snoop Dogg. Or at least it was new for me, so i did some digging and found out that this wasn't new at all. Snoop released a new album in 2021, called the Algorithm. (I was really into work that i didn't found that out earlier....) He gathered  artists from across Def Jam's history and the main characters of the west coast rap revived Mount Westmore.

Their first single was Big Subwoofer, which emerged on my spotify recommendations this November.

And it seems like, Snoop is working on something new this year, because he posted a pic of himself in the studio, with the caption: "23. here i come".

Really curious about with might be coming this year from him, a biopic is in the works for sure. Director Allen Hughes is already confirmed for the Universal Pictures project as screenwriter, alongside with Joe Robert Cole, who has co-written the Black Panther Movies.

Snoop said about the project earlier in 2022.: “I waited a long time to put this project together because I wanted to choose the right director, the perfect writer, and the greatest movie company I could partner with that could understand the legacy that I’m trying to portray on screen, and the memory I’m trying to leave behind,”

Last year was huge for him, because he took back control on his record label Death Row (and released a new album titled as B.O.D.R. (Bacc on Death Row) ), and announced that he is into NFT's.

A New Year post

Happy New Year everyone! Haven't been so active lately, but this has to change in 2023! As the newest year approaches my need to have new years resolutions awakens. :D

So this year i am gonna post more about quality music, and cover news in a professional way. I had a long way from blogging about music in the early 2010's to being a professional journalist. But as you know my main job (Journalism) takes a lot of time from blogging, but i have to try and make more time to write for you.

Music industry changed a lot in the past decade and so is the way of communication, so i must adapt the blog to it and change the look of it. And also making a blog or a site is much different now, we have more options, another techniques, so i have to learn a lot. But i hope, you will be with me on the way.

I wish you - once again - a happy, healthy new year with a lot of joy and luck!
